Move to Switzerland

Switzerland, the country where expatriates live well!

Did you transfer to Switzerland? This country, close to France, where the French language is partially spoken... But where you will quickly realize that the import of your move must be supervised and customs formalities respected.

AWT takes care of customs formalities in your country of departure as well as customs formalities in Switzerland.

Customs formalities for Switzerland:

• Passport photocopy
• The 18.44 form that AWT will provide you, the original must imperatively be returned to us since customs needs this document
• The inventory of your goods in French, German, Italian or English
• Proof of address
• If you import alcohol, you must draw up an inventory with the description of your entire cellar (domain name, price per bottle, etc.) Importing wines without paying taxes is limited to 200 litres. Strong alcohol (above 25 degrees) is limited to a free import of 12 liters
• Vehicles are also subject to import taxes and the vehicle must appear on the import documents.

Documents to be provided in addition for citizens of the European Union or Swiss nationals:

• Certificate of change of residence to be obtained from your city of departure

For nationals outside the European Union:
